Background:

Karin Ontiveros was born in Amatitán, Jalisco, a Mexican model and an industrial design student at the CUAAD University of Guadalajara. Karin was crowned Nuestra Belleza Jalisco the night of July 22, 2010, and subsequently represented her state in the national competition, held in Saltillo, Coahuila. She is the only daughter of Raúl Ontiveros and Paula Meza among the three siblings. She was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete Ontiveros .Karin became the third consecutive Nuestra Belleza México winner from Jalisco on September 25, 2010 and the fourth in the pageant’s history. Ontiveros is expected to take part in the international Miss Universe 2011 contest, in hopes of becoming the third Miss Universe from Mexico, and the second consecutively.

Is she will be the next Miss Universe 2011 after Ximena Navarette? Well, one challenge for this young Mexican faces is the pressure of taking the title once again after her fellow Ximena Navarrete won the title last year.

Priscila Cecile Machado is a Brazilian model that was crowned Miss Brazil 2011 and will represent Brazil in Miss Universe 2011 on September 12 in São Paulo, Brazil. After it was announced Machado had won Miss Brazil 2011 she was booed by the audience for unknown reasons. In the days after the pageants it was revealed that Machado had been booed by the audience after she won because she had previously appeared in a topless photo shoot.

Shamcey Supsup will compete for 2011 Miss Universe Title

Is Shamcey Gurrea Supsup Binibining Pilipinas (Universe) be able to win Miss Universe 2011? A 24 year-old from Iligan City, Lanao del Norte who will compete for 2011 Miss Universe Title. Shamcey Supsup was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 on April 10. She also  grabbed special awards during the pageant namely: Best in Talent, Miss PAL, and Miss Cream Silk. Shamcey Supsup graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines College of Architecture. 

Miss Universe-Philippines Shamcey Supsup left for Colombia to experience some final polishing to cap her Miss Universe training. While in the country, She underwent stiff trainings on personality development, language, history, and hair and make-up. Despite said trainings, Supsup maintained that her winning edge would be illuminating her true self.

The Miss Universe 2011, the 60th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.
