Shamcey Supsup will compete for 2011 Miss Universe Title

Is Shamcey Gurrea Supsup Binibining Pilipinas (Universe) be able to win Miss Universe 2011? A 24 year-old from Iligan City, Lanao del Norte who will compete for 2011 Miss Universe Title. Shamcey Supsup was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2011 on April 10. She also  grabbed special awards during the pageant namely: Best in Talent, Miss PAL, and Miss Cream Silk. Shamcey Supsup graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines College of Architecture. 

Miss Universe-Philippines Shamcey Supsup left for Colombia to experience some final polishing to cap her Miss Universe training. While in the country, She underwent stiff trainings on personality development, language, history, and hair and make-up. Despite said trainings, Supsup maintained that her winning edge would be illuminating her true self.

The Miss Universe 2011, the 60th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. For the very first time in the history of Miss Universe competition, the Miss Universe Organization has announced that the pageant is incorporating a global fan vote that may automatically advance a contestant to the semifinals.
